if I was superstitious, I wouldn’t say this, but I’m not, so: Selah is a pretty easy baby. at least so far. now that we’re done with feeding issues, she’s pretty laid back. the only time she cries much is during bath time (which is happening right now). sometimes she’ll sleep about 6 hours and during the day if she has her paci, she’s usually pretty happy. there are no issues with the formula (like Caleb) or with spitting up much (like Alice) so that’s nice too. she’s pretty content to lay and watch her mobile if we’re needing to do something, and Alice is always willing to go sing to her and generally dote on her as much as she’s able. of course this isn’t to say life is all roses and cotton-candy with three small kids in the house, but we’re thankful that little Selah is pretty easy on us.
in other news, after another week of having a cold, I’m finally feeling better, so I was able to help feed and take care of her more today, as I’ve been avoiding her this week so far. she really is getting bigger fast. at her one month check-up last week she was 9 lb, 5 oz and 23 oz, which is quite a jump up, so we’re thankful she’s doing well. hopefully mama and the kids can successfully avoid this sickness too, and we can continue to settle into live as a party of 5.
