yesterday was a bit of a roller-coaster. it started with me going to the doctor for a chekup for the first time in ages. no problems there. but I did have the car, which is rare.
soon after I got into the office, Michelle called, worried about some cramping and bleeding that morning that caused us both great concern, to say the least. so, in our heads at least, we started freaking out and praying. so I came home, we dropped the kids off at Sara’s (thanks!) and headed to the doctor’s office.
they took us right back but we had to wait a little, so we sat there praying and worrying and hoping. our fears ranged from bed rest to hospital stay to the baby coming 10 weeks early. we didnt worry too much about the unthinkable, as the baby was moving around fine, much to our relief. finally the doctor came and checked things out and we got to see the baby on the ultrasound, which of course is always cool.
without going into details, the bottom line is that everything is fine, but he did say we did the exact right thing by coming right in to get it checked out, so that was nice to hear. he did recommend that Michelle should take it easy, so I stayed home with the kids while she rested. so we may be paring down our schedules a little so she can be off her feet more.
so we’ve got 10 weeks to go. we’re very thankful for answered prayers and the quick support of friends and family.
