we’ve been told to expect at least one offer on our house soon, so we’re very excited about that, and probably another before the end of the week. we’re still showing the place pretty actively, as there’s been a lot of interest generated from our neighborhood email list. so far we’re up to 8 showings (2 of them repeat visits) and another scheduled for tomorrow. Michelle’s quite the realtor these days.
things with the new house are falling into place, and we close a month from today! we’re excited about a new home, but a little anxious about the move, and more than a little sad about leaving our old place.
in kid news, Alice is a pretty good crawler now. she’s not fast, but she can get to where she wants to go without too much effort. she hasnt gone from room to room yet, but she tried to follow me out of a room today. and she pulled up to her knees on Caleb’s bed, so she’s definitely moving onward and upward. Caleb is handling all the changes pretty good so far. we packed away his favorite chair, which he was a little upset about, but Aunt Emily to the rescue: she sent him an Elmo chair! (you can spot it in one of the house pictures) and matching Elmo slippers (that he treats like stuffed animals). he LOVES all the Elmo gear. he’s actually pretty obsessed about it. I’d like to point out that all the Elmo stuff he has is from Aunt Emily and Uncle Steve (except for the DVD, which was from Grandma W.). but since we do live in St. Elmo, I suppose it’s appropriate, even if Elmo annoys the heck out of us grownups. but as Caleb would say: “gee-yah” (thank you).
Caleb’s birthday is very soon (but I think we have enough Elmo stuff for now) and we’re looking forward to family coming to help us pack and such. and maybe we’ll have a little b-day party for the boy too :-)
