for Christmas I got Tim Keller’s new book The Prodigal God. it’s a quick read and a very good perspective on the parable of the prodigal son. I highly recommend it, especially to those of us (like myself) who are prone to “older brother” tendencies.
also, I got CD for Christmas that I’ve been enjoying very much: Rattlin Bones if you’ve been longing for the next Gillian Welch album, this should hold you over for a while. if you don’t know who that is, make haste and go find some of her roots/folk/americana wonderment.
I’m bout 3/4 thru Keller’s book as well. I heard most of it on the free sermon from the Redeemer site, but the book is a good expansion on it, and I’m thinking a great resource for giving away… I’d enjoy hearing your further thoughts.
