from a recent note to those who have supported my trip to the prayer conference in Ireland:
Very soon my adventure to Ireland will begin, as I fly out July 13. Thank you once more for sending me! I have heard lately that some of you are praying daily, and that is a huge encouragement to me. God is working in me, and I pray that He will work through me as well.
Perhaps you’d like to know more about the work that is currently going on in Ireland? If so, here’s a good article written by a missionary who has been at work there with World Harvest for a while now. He’s also the uncle of one of my friends from college, which is a cool connection. Anyway, check out the article to find out what is going on there:

I am eagerly anticipating what God has for me to see and do. I’ve realized lately that I’m more of a control-freak than I usually let on: I really don’t like getting into something unknown. So I think it’s good for me that I know almost nothing about what I’m getting into. That makes me a little nervous, but overall I think it makes me focus on the one thing I do know: that for some reason God wants me to go on this trip. It’s a bit odd to not really know what that reason might be, and it’s almost audacious to make such a claim, but the work of the Spirit cannot be denied. He moved quickly and strongly not only in my heart, but in yours as well, in the outpouring of generous support. So I go with many unknowns, but one big “known”: that our loving and mighty God wants me to participate in the work He’s doing there.
So will you continue to pray? Pray not only for safe and swift travels (we’ll be driving to Vermont first, and I’ll be flying from there soon afterward). Pray also that God would tune my heart to His, that I’ll repent of my sins and fears, and fully trust Him and follow where He leads. Pray that the gospel would spread mightily through this work!
Many thanks once more!
